Verizon plans on Thursday to make it easy to sign up for health insurance, with a new smartphone app that will offer you a smartphone app and website to help you shop for the health plan you want.
Verizon HealthCare plans to launch the smartphone app this year, and it will be available for download on the web, iOS and Android.
The app will allow you to sign in to your account, make payments and sign up.
You’ll also be able to check out the health care plans you have, and the website will have an option to add you to a health care plan.
The app will include a mobile version of the company’s HealthCare.com website, which is expected to be the first step in the health insurance marketplace.
The company is partnering with insurance companies to create a health insurance exchange, which will allow consumers to buy and compare plans on the website.
VerizonHealthCare.net will be a place to buy health insurance through Verizon HealthCare and other companies, with prices starting at $300 a month.
The HealthCare app will be the most basic plan available.
There will be more ways to use the app later, Verizon says.
Verision said it has made a big commitment to consumers with its first-ever smartphone health plan.
“We’ve committed to delivering more than 60 million new subscribers to our first-of-its-kind smartphone health app, and we’re going to make sure consumers are aware of the opportunities and options for them,” David Smith, vice president of marketing for Verizon Health Care, said in a statement.
Verify will be sold through Verizon Wireless, a division of Verizon Communications.
The deal will allow Verizon to sell more than 1 billion smartphone health plans a year, according to Verizon.
The announcement comes after more than a year of debate over the federal health care law, which many analysts have said has hurt consumers.
The health care exchange is expected in the coming weeks.
The government has set up a website that consumers can visit to sign-up for coverage.
