AT&Ts wireless plans are selling for $20 a month on plans starting at $50 a month.
The move will allow AT&ts to bring in more customers without the cost of expanding its network.
AT&t will sell wireless plans starting April 3 for $50 and $60 a month for the full year, a company spokeswoman told Reuters.
The company’s wireless plans will include unlimited talk, text and data on AT&s network.
The announcement came as the company reported strong second-quarter profit, which beat Wall Street expectations.

That price point will continue to be $20 for the year.
AT &t says the plan will work with most of its network, and that customers will only be charged for the amount of talk, texting and data they use, not the amount they use when they’re on the device.
AT has been selling unlimited plans to customers on its wireless network since early 2014, and the company said it was still adding more customers.
AT said it added 3.6 million wireless subscribers in the second quarter, and had more than 4.4 million on its network at the end of last year.
AT&ts wireless plan will cost $20 per month for full year.
The plans will not include data caps, but they will include data use limits and an auto-renewal fee.
AT will also offer customers a one-time $20 cash bonus for new customers on the first-month price plan, which is not subject to a credit check.
