Plano Texas, the fourth largest city in Texas, is getting an all-new gym and exercise program.
The gym and fitness center will open on Tuesday, July 22.
The first of two locations are scheduled to open in the city on September 16, according to the Plano Health Department.
The third location is set to open on November 11.
The health department says the new gym and the fitness center are both located at the former WalMart store on North Main Street.
Plano has long been known for being a popular fitness hub, and WalMart’s move to the city in 2012 created a lot of excitement among the Planos gym-goers.
The City of Plano, a nonprofit, is also in the process of opening a new gym on North Market Street in the heart of Planos old shopping district.
Planos new health department, which will take over the gym, is calling the gym an “All-inclusive Fitness Center” and plans to use it as a hub for the community.
“The gym is a perfect fit for Plano’s community of people who are trying to make health decisions and plan for the future,” said Plano City Manager Michael Buss.
The new gym will have a wide range of exercise equipment, including treadmills, ellipticals, kettlebells, and weight machines.
The workout center will offer cardio, strength, and flexibility training for both men and women, according the Planocanas health department.
The plano health department also says that the gym will be open on a weekly basis from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and will offer free fitness classes for students.
The plano community will be able to see how the new fitness center is doing before the end of the year, when the city is expecting to open the gym.
Plans say the gym is expected to open to the public at the new location by September 16.
